Lincoln's Secret Letters: Complete

Abe is finally all wrapped up. A lot of time, and a tiny bit of actual work went into this. All around a smooth project though. I included some detail shots since the scan of the oils was pretty immaculate. I knew I was gonna lose a lot of the textures while getting it to book size, but in photoshop, it's a beautiful thing to behold at 100%.

So glad to be done. Every time I had to haul the thing to school it rained. Thing was cursed.

Hi Mike! This turned out really nice, I like how you kept the overall painterly style of the image.

This looks amazing. Beautiful paint quality. I love how you did the hands in particular, and the cheeky red seal. Very, very nice.

turned out lovely, nice blue on his left hand.

the subtle red is my favorite bit. Good work on those hands and thank god for the campus scanners amirite?

Ok. I really do love how the illustration of Lincoln turned out. But I think the Graphic use of type is the best part. That is just a really well designed Book Cover. And your Detail shots put together like that is great. Looks good man. Kudos.

Thanks guys. This one definitely turned into one of favorites. Surprised no one has commented on the author's name yet. Maybe I didn't make it obvious enough though. (A combination of Julius Caesar an Franz Ferdinand, two high profile history altering assassinations.)

Aha very clever! Did you make up the author's name? I assumed this was for a real book.
