FARRGOO

So here is a recent assignment for school that I finished up last night. We had a list of column A movies, and a list of column B movies, and then we had to pick one from each category and combine them. So I chose Peter Yate's "Bullitt", and the Coen Brothers' Fargo. In other words, 1968 in snow. I had also been looking at some minimal french 1970 movie posters, so that crept in as well.

This one was really a challenge, since I can't remember I took a legitimate stab at a car. Pretty happy with how it all turned out on the short time frame I gave myself due to a start over last night at midnight.

So I haven't really slept yet, and I'm feeling pretty darn sleepy, but if all goes to plan I may have another piece for you by midnight.

Great illustration Mike! The idea alone is just so cool. I think the use of tone and colour is spot on, and the writing looks good with those textures too. As for the mustang, I think you did a great job on that too. I've only seen Bullitt, but I hear that Fargo is a great film as well. Looking at your poster I noticed that Steve Buscemi is in it; this will go down very well with my housemates! Must give it a watch soon.

(p.s only a small detail, but Buscemi is spelt wrong in the poster).
