Since I tend to do all these sketches and stuff, and on a strapped budget, I fluff them up with digital textures.

So this is just on regular HP ultrawhite printer paper. I love the look of old papers and stuff, but this way you get that compete control, and printer paper takes ink and stuff way better than you'd ever think.

Although recently I've tried to drift away from it. You do feel a bit dishonest haha. A quick google search turned up this texture though, a few months back on a huge texture archive a designer had put together.

I've never come across old paper like this, all yellowed and stained, that was also suitable for inks, or even pencil sometime, without sacrificing of a lot line quality.Mike Puncekarhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14612306496907911080noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6679870436405767100.post-35006533177964779392009-04-15T10:21:00.000-04:002009-04-15T10:21:00.000-04:00what sort of paper did you use for these? i like t...what sort of paper did you use for these? i like the texture and i wanna try it out...manuscript72https://www.blogger.com/profile/07637132684435197969noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6679870436405767100.post-30926573596808956052009-03-06T11:00:00.000-05:002009-03-06T11:00:00.000-05:00Thanks all. But now with this acrylic ink, you can mix and tone, and then build on top if you have to to achieve lighter tones, but with glazes they still work like regular ink.Mike Puncekarhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14612306496907911080noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6679870436405767100.post-44306846848170736002009-03-06T00:01:00.000-05:002009-03-06T00:01:00.000-05:00just love the dynamics of your sketches buddy! gre...just love the dynamics of your sketches buddy! great stuff!
I will keep checking back... :)Mark Molnarhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04148243692484966863noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6679870436405767100.post-23142773741181440282009-03-04T22:02:00.000-05:002009-03-04T22:02:00.000-05:00nice monkey , too bad the face is slightly jacked ...nice monkey , too bad the face is slightly jacked up...wait a minute that's my sketch-sorry.David Groffhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07554608379078710828noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6679870436405767100.post-79391640700196942172009-03-04T13:22:00.000-05:002009-03-04T13:22:00.000-05:00Wonderful!
